PROCLAMATION NO. 1124

DECLARING TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2006 AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF GENERAL SANTOS

WHEREAS, Tuesday, September 5, 2006, marks the 38th Charter Day anniversary and Tuna Festival celebration of the City of General Santos;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of General Santos be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Tuesday, September 5, 2006, as special (non-working) day in the City of General Santos.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 14th day of August, in the year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Six.
