PROCLAMATION NO. 1878

DECLARING WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, 2009, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF MASBATE

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Masbate was declared as a component city of the Province of Masbate by virtue of R.A. 8807 dated September 30, 2000;

WHEREAS, Wednesday, September 30, 2009, marks the 9th Cityhood Anniversary of the City of Masbate;

WHEREAS, in order to give the residents of the City of Masbate, the opportunity to celebrate the occasion, it is but fitting and proper to declare September 30, 2009 as special non-working day.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Wednesday, September 30, 2009, as special (non-working) day in Masbate City.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 3rd day of September, in the year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Nine.
