Begun and held in Metro Manila, on Monday, the twenty-seventh day of July, two thousand nine.

[REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9778]

AN ACT DECLARING JANUARY 12 OF EVERY YEAR A SPECIAL NONWORKING PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE CITY OF TALISAY, PROVINCE OF CEBU TO BE KNOWN AS THE “CHARTER DAY OF THE CITY OF TALISAY”

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. January 12 of every year is hereby declared to be a special nonworking public holiday in the City of Talisay, Province of Cebu to commemorate its founding day and to be known as the “Charter Day of the City of Talisay”.

SEC 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
