PROCLAMATION NO. 1978

DECLARING SATURDAY, JANUARY 16, 2010, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN BATANGAS CITY

WHEREAS, Saturday, January 16, 2010, marks the celebration of the feast day of Sto. Niño, the patron saint of the City of Batangas;

WHEREAS, in order to give the people of the City of Batangas full opportunity to participate and celebrate the occasion, it is but fitting and proper to declare January 16, 2010 as special non-working day.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Saturday, January 16, 2010, as special (non-working) day in Batangas City.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 13th day of January, in the year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Ten.
