PROCLAMATION NO. 2010

DECLARING MONDAY, MARCH 1, 2010, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY

IN THE CITY OF ESCALANTE, PROVINCE OF NEGROS OCCIDENTAL

WHEREAS, February 28, 2010, marks the Charter Day Anniversary of the City of Escalante;

WHEREAS, to enable the people of the City of Escalante to celebrate the occasion, the Office of the Mayor requested that Monday, March 1, 2010, be declared as special non-working holiday instead of February 28, 2010 which fall on a Sunday;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Escalante be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by the power of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Monday, March 1, 2010, as a special (non-working) day in the City of Escalante.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
