PROCLAMATION NO. 49
DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 22 TO 27, 2010 AS âCIVIL ENGINEERING WEEKâ
WHEREAS, the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Inc. (PICE), will hold its 36th National Convention on November 25 to 27, 2010 at the Cebu International Convention Center, Cebu City;
WHEREAS, there is a need to focus national attention on the importance of the civil engineering profession and highlight its role in nation building.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, BENIGNO S. AQUINO III, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from November 22 to 27, 2010 as âCivil Engineering Weekâ, under the auspices of the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Inc.
I call upon all civil engineers and students to give the observance of the week their full support.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
