PROCLAMATION NO. 72

DECLARING FRIDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2010, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF MEYCAUAYAN

WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 9356 dated December 10, 2006, provided for the conversion of the Municipality of Meycauayan into a component city to be known as the City of Meycauayan;

WHEREAS, Friday, December 10, 2010, marks the Charter Day anniversary of the City of Meycauayan, to be known as “Araw ng Lungsod ng Meycauayan”;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Meycauayan, be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, PAQUITO N. OCHOA JR., Executive Secretary by authority of His Excellency, BENIGNO S. AQUINO III, do hereby declare Friday, December 10, 2010, as special (non-working) day in the City of Meycauayan.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 15th day of November, in the year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Ten.
