PROCLAMATION NO. 83

DECLARING TUESDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2010, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF VIRAC, PROVINCE OF CATANDUANES

WHEREAS, Tuesday, December 7, 2010, marks the celebration of “Kaaldawan Nin Virac” of the Municipality of Virac, province of Catanduanes;

WHEREAS, “Kaaldawan Nin Virac” is a cultural event set to coincide with the celebration of the town fiesta that will encourage activev participation of the 63 barangays in Virac, as well as non-government organizations, civic organizations and other line agencies in various phases of events that have both religious and historical significance and will ultimately pave the way for the promotion and advancement of the tourism industry, which is a big source of revenue;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Virac, Catanduanes be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, PAQUITO N. OCHOA JR., Executive Secretary, by authority of His Excellency, BENIGNO S. AQUINO III, do hereby declare Tuesday, December 7, 2010, as special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Virac, Province of Catanduanes.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
