PROCLAMATION NO. 312

DECLARING FRIDAY, 13 JANUARY 2012, AS A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF SAN PABLO

WHEREAS, the City of San Pablo marks the feast day of its patron saint, St. Paul, the First Hermit, and the 416th founding anniversary of its parish on 13 January 2012;

WHEREAS, coinciding with the feast day is the holding of the 17th Coconut Festival and Street Dancing Competition (Mardi Gras);

WHEREAS, to enable the people of the City of San Pablo to celebrate the occasion, the Office of the Mayor requested that Friday, 13 January 2012 be declared as special (non-working) day instead of 15 January 2012, which falls on a Sunday;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of San Pablo be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, PAQUITO N. OCHOA JR., Executive Secretary, by authority of His Excellency, BENIGNO S. AQUINO III, do hereby declare Friday, 13 January 2012, as a special (non-working) day in the City of San Pablo.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
