FURTHER EXTENDING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF MMDA TTM MC #03 S. 2014 ENTITLED “GUIDELINES ON THE USE OF EDSA UNDERPASSES BY PROVINCIAL BUSES”

1.0 INTRODUCTION:
1.1 On 24 October, MMDA Transport and Traffic Management issued Memorandum Circular #03, Series of 2014 entitled “GUIDELINES ON THE USE OF EDSA UNDERPASSES BY PROVINCIAL BUSES”
1.2 Necessity still exists for provincial buses to use the EDSA underpasses to alleviate traffic and allow the city buses to maximize the road use of city bus stops.
1.3 This memorandum is issued to formalize the extension of the aforesaid TTM, #03, Series of 2014.
2.0 GUIDELINES:
2.1 Extending the Use of EDSA Underpass by Provincial Buses from 7 June 2015 until 31 January 2016, as follows:
2.1.1 Only EDSA-Shaw, EDSA-P. Tuazon, EDSA-Aurora underpasses shall be used by provincial buses.
2.1.2 There shall be an ODD-EVEN scheme in the usage of the EDSA underpasses.
2.1.3 Provincial buses with plate numbers ending with 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 shall use the above-mentioned EDSA underpasses every MONDAY, WEDNESDAY and FRIDAY.
2.1.4 Provincial buses with plate numbers ending with 2, 4, 6, 8 and 0 shall use the above-mentioned EDSA underpasses every TUESDAY, THURSDAY and SATURDAY.
2.1.5 EDSA underpasses shall not be used by provincial and city buses on Sundays.
2.2 Implementation of other guidelines specified in MMDA TTM MC# 03, Series of 2014, are further extended by virtue of this MC.
3.0 EFFECTIVITY:
3.1 This Memorandum Circular shall be implemented from 7 June 2015 until 31 January 2016. It supplements MMDA TTM MC #03, Series of 2014. In case of conflict between this Memorandum Circular and the former, the provisions of this Memorandum Circular shall prevail.
