A Bill
For
An Act to amend the Transfer of Convicted Offenders (Enactment and Enforcement) Act
Cap. T16, Law of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004; and for related matters.
ENACTEDby the National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria:
1. The Transfer of Convicted Offenders (Enactment and Enforcement) Act Cap. T16,
Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 (in this Act referred to as "the Principal Act")
is amended as set out in this Act.
2. Section 5 (1) of the Principal Act is amended by substituting for paragraph (d), a new paragraph "(d)":
aid) if the convicted offender is sentenced to not less than 12 months imprisonment and where both countries agree."
3. Section 8 of the Principal Act is deleted.
4. This Act may be cited as Transfer of Convicted Offenders (Enactment and
Enforcement) (Amendment) Act, 2013.
