CIVIL STATUS REGISTERS RECONSTITUTION ACT
EDITORIAL NOTE: Civil Status Registers Reconstitution Acts were en- acted in 1969, 1977 and 1984 following the loss or destruction of certain registers. These enabled the Registrar of Civil Status to take steps to recon- stitute the missing registers and any interested person to make representa- tions in that behalf. The Acts provided that, after the expiry of certain time- limits (long since spent), no reconstitution may be made except upon an or- der of the District Magistrate after reference to the Ministère Public. The texts of those Acts are not reproduced.
