THE ACCESSION OF THE REPUBLIC OF LITHUANIA TO THE EUROPEAN SUPPORT FUND FOR THE CO-PRODUCTION AND DISTRIBUTION OF CREATIVE CINEMATOGRAPHIC AND AUDIO-VISUAL WORKS (“eurimages”)

Acting pursuant to the implementation measures of the Programme of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania for 2006 – 2008 approved by point 235 of the Resolution No 1020 (Valstybės žinios (Official Gazette) No 112-4273; 2006) of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania of 17 October 2006, the Government of the Republic of Lithuania has resolved:
1. To approve the accession of the Republic of Lithuania as a member of the European Support Fund for the co-production and distribution of creative cinematographic and audio-visual works (“Eurimages”) (hereinafter referred to as “the Fund”);
2. To confer on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to address the Secretary General of the Council of Europe and inform him of the accession of the Republic of Lithuania to the Fund on 6 November 1996 in accordance with the regulatory procedures laid down in paragraph A of the Resolution No CM (96)150 of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe on accession of a country to the partial agreements and its withdrawal.
3. To confer on the Lithuanian Film Centre under the Ministry of Culture:
3.2. To assign a permanent representative of the Republic of Lithuania to the Board of Management of the Fund in accordance with paragraph 2.1 of the Resolution No (88)15 of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe of 26 October 1988 on the Setting Up of a European Support Fund for the Co-production and Distribution of Creative Cinematographic and Audio-Visual Works (“Eurimages”).
