LAW OF THE REPUBLIC OF LITHUANIA

AMENDING ARTICLE 1 OF LAW No I-678 ON THE BANK OF LITHUANIA

Article 1. Amendment of Article 1

Paragraph 2 of Article 1 shall be amended and set forth to read as follows:

2. The ownership of the State of Lithuania in the Bank of Lithuania shall be expressed by the capital of the Bank of Lithuania. The assets of the Bank of Lithuania shall belong to it by the right of ownership. The Bank of Lithuania shall manage, use and dispose of, its assets in accordance with legal acts of the European Union and this Law.”

 

Article 2. Implementation of the Law

On the day of entry into force of this Law the assets managed by the Bank of Lithuania and held by the State by the right of ownership, where these assets are transferred to the Bank of Lithuania for management, use and disposal by trust and registered in the balance sheet and off-balance sheet accounting of the Bank of Lithuania, shall belong to the Bank of Lithuania by right of ownership from the day of entry into force of this Law.

 

I promulgate this Law passed by the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania.
