The Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, acting pursuant to point 16 of Article 67 and Article 138(1)(6) of the Constitution of the Republic of Lithuania, and having regard to Decree No 1K-199 of the President of the Republic of 19 January 2015, hereby ratifies Protocol No. 15 amending the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, done at Strasbourg on 24 June 2013, and Protocol No. 16 to the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, done at Strasbourg on 2 October 2013.

The Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania shall, pursuant to Article 10 of Protocol No. 16 to the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, make a declaration that the highest courts and tribunals in the Republic of Lithuania which may request the European Court of Human Rights to give advisory opinions on questions of principle relating to the interpretation or application of the rights and freedoms defined in the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms or the protocols thereto are the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Lithuania, the Supreme Court of Lithuania and the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania.
