Taking into consideration the universal right to self-determination of peoples, in exercise whereof the Republic of Montenegro declared its independence after the referendum of 21 May 2006 on 3 June of the same year, the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania has r e s o l v e d:

Article 1.

To recognise the state independence of the Republic of Montenegro.
