ON THE INTERNATIONAL COMMISSION FOR THE EVALUATION OF THE CRIMES OF THE NAZI AND SOVIET OCCUPATION REGIMES
IN LITHUANIA

Article 1
Pursuant to Article 77 of the Constitution of the Republic of Lithuania and taking into consideration the unique and unprecedented nature and scope of the Holocaust, as well as other crimes committed by the Nazi occupation regime and devastating consequences of the Soviet occupation regime on the citizens of Lithuania,
I hereby set up an International Commission for the Evaluation of the Crimes of the Nazi and Soviet Occupation Regimes in Lithuania:

Article 2
1. The Commission shall consist of two separate and independent sub-commissions:
1) A Sub-Commission for the Evaluation of the Crimes of the Nazi Occupation Regime and the Holocaust;
Article 4
The Government of the Republic of Lithuania shall provide the Commission with the means to perform its functions.
Article 5
I hereby repeal the Decree of the President of the Republic on the International Commission for the Evaluation of the Crimes of the Nazi and Soviet Occupation Regimes in Lithuania of 10 May 2005 (Valstybės Žinios (Official Gazette), No 60-2096, 2005).
