Weights and Measures (Prescribed Stamp) (Jersey) Order 1975
THE ENVIRONMENT AND PUBLIC SERVICES COMMITTEE, in pursuance of Article 12(3) of the Weights and Measures (Jersey) Law 1967,[1] orders as follows –

The stamp prescribed for use by an inspector in the stamping of weighing and measuring equipment which has been passed as fit for use for trade shall be –
(a) subject to sub-paragraphs (b) and (c), a stamp in the form described in Schedule 1;
(b) in the case of a stamp which is less than 3/8 of one inch in overall size, a stamp in the form described in Schedule 2;
(c) in the case of a stamp for the stamping of a measure made of glass and used for the sale of intoxicating liquor, in the form described in Schedule 3.

This Order may be cited as the Weights and Measures (Prescribed Stamp) (Jersey) Order 1975.
SCHEDULE 1
(Article 1(a))
FORM OF STAMP FOR USE BY AN INSPECTOR GENERALLY
A stamp comprising –
(i) a crest in the form indicated below, and
(ii) in close proximity to the said crest (if so desired) a date mark consisting of numerals and letters indicating the month and the year in which the equipment is stamped.

SCHEDULE 2
(Article 1(b))
FORM OF STAMP FOR USE BY AN INSPECTOR WHERE STAMP IS LESS THAN 3/8 INCH IN OVERALL SIZE
A stamp comprising –
(i) a crown in the form indicated below, and
(ii) subjacent to the said crown, the letter “J”,
(iii) in close proximity to the said crown (if so desired) a date mark consisting of numerals and letters indicating the month and the year in which the equipment is stamped.

SCHEDULE 3
(Article 1(c))
FORM OF STAMP FOR USE BY AN INSPECTOR FOR STAMPING GLASS MEASURES USED FOR THE SALE OF INTOXICATING LIQUOR
A stamp comprising –
(i) a crown in the form indicated in Schedule 2,
(ii) subjacent to the said crown, the letter “J”.
