Small Ground Vermin Traps (Jersey) Order 1961

THE ENVIRONMENT AND PUBLIC SERVICES COMMITTEE, in pursuance of the Animals (Trapping) (Jersey) Law 1961,[1] orders as follows –

The traps referred to in the Schedule to this Order are, for the purposes of Article 2(2) of the Animals (Trapping) (Jersey) Law 1961,[2] specified as being adapted solely for the destruction of rats, mice or other small ground vermin.

This Order may be cited as the Small Ground Vermin Traps (Jersey) Order 1961.

SCHEDULE

1.      Spring traps known as break-back traps and commonly used for the destruction of rats, mice or small ground vermin.

2.      Spring traps of the kind commonly used for catching moles in their runs.

3.      Cage traps of the kind commonly used for the taking of rats.[3]
