THE BOY SCOUTS AND GIRL GUIDES
ASSOCIATIONS ACT 27 of 1968.

[26th July, 1920.1

1. This Act may be cited as the Boy Scouts and Girl shorttitla

2. In this Act--- Inttrpn-
“The Association” means the Boy Scouts Association 2711968

of Jamaica, incorporated on the 13th day of July,
1%7, under the Companies Act;

“Boy Scout” means a Boy Scout recognized as such
under the Articles of Association, and by-laws and
rules of the Association, and includes all oflicers of
the Association.

3. It shall not be lawful for any person, not being under U d a w

5. It shall not be lawful for any person to form, organize,
or work in connection with or be concerned in forming,
organizing, or in work in connection with any corps or body
which without due authority granted by the Association
claim or purport to be Boy Scouts or otherwise to be con-
nected with the Association or which hold themselves out
as, or pass themselves off as, Boy Scouts, or as otherwise
connected with the Association.

6. Any person contravening any of the provisions of this
Act shall be guilty of an offence, and shall be liable on
summary conviction to a fine not exceeding twenty dollars,
and in default of payment of such fine to imprisonment
with or without hard labour for any period not exceeding
one month.

7. The provisions of this Act shall mutaris mutandis
apply to the Girl Guides Association of Jamaica incorpo-
rated on the 17th day of July, 1967, under the Companies
Act. and Girl Guides recognized as such under the
Articles of Association, and by-laws and rules of that
Association, including all officers thereof.
