THE KINGDOM OF LESOTHO ACT

1. This Act may be cited as the Kingdom of Lesotho Shorttitle.

2. In this Act-
“commencement of this Act” means 4th October,

shall, unless and until provision to the contrary is made by
Parliament or some other authority have power in that
behalf, and subject to the following provisions of this
section, have the same operation in relation to Lesotho, and
persons and things belonging to or connected with Lesotho,
as it would have apart from this subsection if on that date
Basutoland had been renamed Lesotho, but there had beefi
no change in its status.

(2) The Minister may, by order, make such adapta-
tions in any enactment passed before or after the com-
mencement of this Act, or in any instrument having effect
under any such enactment, as appear to him necessary or

expedient in consequence of the change in the status of
Basutoland on that date; and any such order may, though
made after the cornmencement of this Act, be made so
as to have effect from the date of such commencement.

(3) Every order made under subsection (2) shall be
subject to negative resolution.
