THE JUDGMENTS (FOREIGN) (RECIPROCAL
ENFORCEMENT) ACT

ORDER
(under section 3 (1) )

(Made by the Governor in Privy Council on the 29th day of G.N. 845,36
September, 1936)

1. This Order may be cited as the Reciprocal Enforcement of
Foreign Judgments Order, 1936.

2. It is ordered that-

(1) Part I of the Act shall extend to the United Kingdom: and
(2) the House of Lords, the Supreme Court of Judicature of

England and Wales (Court of Appeal and High Court of
Justice) the Courts of Chancery of the Counties Palatine of
Lancaster and Durham, the Courts of Sessions in Scotland and
the Supreme Court of Northenn Ireland shall be deemed
Superior Courts of the United Kingdom for the purpose of
Part I of the Act.
