AN ACT
to provide for the time in the Isle of Man.
1 Time in the Isle of Man to be the same as in Great Britain

(1) The time for general purposes in the Isle of Man shall be the same as that
obtaining for general purposes in Great Britain.
(2) Wherever any reference to a point of time occurs in any enactment,
public document, deed, notice or other document whatsoever, the time
referred to shall be deemed, unless it is otherwise expressly provided, to
be the time as fixed for general purposes in Great Britain by or under any
enactment of the Imperial Parliament.1

(3) Nothing in this Act shall affect the use of Greenwich Mean Time for
purposes of astronomy, meteorology, navigation or other purposes for
which that time is adopted by international usage, or affect the
construction of any document mentioning or referring to a point of time
in connection with any of those purposes.
2 Short title and commencement

(1) This Act may be cited as the Manx Time Act, 1968.
(2) This Act shall come into operation when the Royal Assent thereto has
been by the Governor announced to Tynwald and a certificate thereof
has been signed by the Governor and the Speaker of the House of Keys,
but shall take effect on such day as the Governor may by order appoint.2
