S.I. No. 344/1999 - Appointment of Special Advisers Order, 1999.
WHEREAS the Ministers of the Government mentioned in column (2) of the Table to this Order have each made a request to the Government under section 11 (1) of the Public Service Managment Act, 1997 (No. 27 of 1997),
NOW, the Government in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 11 (1) of the Public Service Management Act, 1997 (No. 27 of 1997) and pursuant to the requests aforesaid hereby order as follows:
1. This order may be cited as the Appointment of Special Advisers Order, 1999.
2. The Government hereby appoint—
(a) a person mentioned at a reference number (other than reference numbers 10 and 11) in column (3) of the Table to this Order to be Special Advisers to the Ministers of the Government mentioned in column (2) of that Table at that reference number, and
(b) a person mentioned in the said column (3) at the said reference number 10 or 11 to be Special Adviser to the Minister of State mentioned in the said column (2) at that reference number.
3. An appointment of a person under Article 2 shall have effect from the date mentioned in column (4) of the said Table opposite the mention of that person in the said column (3).
