European Communities (Cosmetic Products) (Amendment No. 4) Regulations 2006
I, Mary Harney, Minister for Health and Children, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No 27 of 1972), for the purpose of giving effect to Commission Directive 2006/65/EC of 19 July 2006 hereby make the following Regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Cosmetic Products (Amendment No. 4) Regulations 2006.

2. The provisions of these Regulations shall not apply to the sale or supply of cosmetic products to the final consumer until 1 December 2006.

3. In these Regulations “the Principal Regulations” mean the European Communities (Cosmetic Products) Regulations 2004 (S.I. No. 870 of 2004 ).

4. The Principal Regulations are hereby amended by the addition to the definition of “Directive”, in Regulation 4(1) thereof, of the reference “2006/65/EC1 ”.

5. The Schedules to the Principal Regulations are hereby amended in the manner set out in the Schedule to these Regulations.

(c)  in reference numbers 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 24 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 31, 32, 33, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 44, 47, 48, 49, 50, 55, 56 and 58 the date ‘31.12.2006’ is replaced by ‘31.12.2007’.
