CREDIT INSTITUTIONS (FINANCIAL SUPPORT) (SPECIFICATION OF INSTITUTIONS) (No. 3) ORDER 2008
Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in
“Iris Oifigiúil” of 9th December, 2008.
I, BRIAN LENIHAN, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 6(1) of the Credit Institutions (Financial Support) Act 2008 (No. 18 of 2008), having regard to the matters set out in section 2 of that Act, hereby order as follows:
1. This Order may be cited as the Credit Institutions (Financial Support) (Specification of Institutions) (No. 3) Order 2008.
2. EBS Mortgage Finance is specified for the purposes of section 6(1) of the Credit Institutions (Financial Support) Act 2008 .

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.)
This order is made under Section 6(1) of the Credit Institutions (Financial Support) Act 2008 (the Act) which provides that the Minister may provide financial support in respect of covered liabilities of any credit institution or subsidiary which the Minister may specify by order. The institutions named in this order constitute covered institutions under the Credit Institutions (Financial Support) Scheme 2008 which was made by the Minister pursuant to section 6(4) of the Act.
