Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in
“Iris Oifigiúil” of 13th August, 2013.
I, LEO VARADKAR, Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 13 of the Road Transport Act 2011 (No. 31 of 2011), with the consent of the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, hereby make the following regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Road Transport Operator Licensing (Fees) Regulations 2013.
2. These Regulations come into operation on 30th September 2013.
3. The fee in respect of an application for, the grant, amendment, duplication or replacement of a licensing document is that set out in Schedule 1.
4. The fee to be paid directly to the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Ireland with an application to sit an examination for a certificate of professional competence, for the approval of a certificate of professional competence training facility or for the grant of a duplicate or replacement certificate of professional competence is that set out in Schedule 2.
5. The Road Transport Acts (Fees) Regulations 1994 ( S.I. No. 141 of 1994 ) are revoked.

Application for the grant of an international road haulage operator’s licence
€70 together with €46 for each 12 months of the licence period for each vehicle to be specified in the licence
Application for the grant of a national or international road passenger transport operator’s licence

Application to specify an additional vehicle in a national road haulage operator’s licence
€20 for each 12 months or part of 12 months unexpired of the licence period
Application to specify an additional vehicle in an international road haulage operator’s licence
€46 for each 12 months or part of 12 months unexpired of the licence period
Application for a duplicate or replacement of any of the following documents: operator’s licence; certified copy of an operator’s licence; Community licence; certified copy of a Community licence; driver attestation; transport disc.

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.)
The purpose of these Regulations is to amend fees for road transport operator licences and related issues including applications to the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Ireland for examinations and certificates.
The Regulations also repeal S.I. 141 of 1994.
