“Iris Oifigiúil” of 27th May, 2016.

I, MICHAEL CREED, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by

section 3

of the

European Communities Act 1972

(No. 27 of 1972), for the purpose of giving effect to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/166 of 8 February 20161

and Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/443 of 23 March 20162

hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Official Controls on the Import of Food of Non-Animal Origin for Pesticide Residues) (Amendment) (No.2) Regulations 2016.

2. The European Communities (Official Controls on the Import of Food of Non-Animal Origin for Pesticide Residues) Regulations 2011 (

S.I. No. 426 of 2011

) are amended by substituting in Regulation 2(1) for the definition of “Commission Regulation 669/2009” the following—

“ ‘Commission Regulation 669/2009’ means Commission Regulation (EC) No 669/2009 of 24 July 20093

(as amended by Commission Regulation (EU) No 212/2010 of 12 March 20104

, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 323/2014 of 28 March 20145

, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 718/2014 of 27 June 20146

and Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/443 of 23 March 2016) and Commission Regulation (EU) No 885/2014 of 13 August 20147

, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/943 of 18 June 20158

and Commission Regulation (EU) 2016/166 of 8 February 2016;”.

3. The European Communities (Official Controls on the Import of Food of Non-Animal Origin for Pesticide Residues) (Amendment) Regulations 2016 (

S.I. No. 39 of 2016

) are revoked.
