This Ordinance may be cited as the Dominican Missions Ordinance.

Section: 2 Incorporation of Procurator in Hong Kong for Dominican

Missions in the Far East

The procurator in Hong Kong for the Dominican Missions shall be a body corporate, hereinafter called the
corporation, and shall have the name of "The Procurator in Hong Kong for the Dominican Missions in the Far East",
and by that name shall have perpetual succession, and shall and may sue and be sued in all courts in Hong Kong, and
shall and may have and use a common seal, and the said seal may break, change, alter, and make anew as to the said
corporation may seem fit; and the said corporation shall have full power to acquire, accept leases of, purchase, take,
hold, and enjoy any lands, buildings, messuages, or tenements of what nature or kind soever and wheresoever situate
in Hong Kong, and also to invest moneys on mortgage of any lands, buildings, messuages, or tenements in Hong Kong
or on the mortgages or debentures, stock, funds, shares, or securities of any corporation or company carrying on
business or having an office in Hong Kong, and also to purchase and acquire all manner of goods and chattels
whatsoever; and the said corporation is hereby further empowered by deed under its seal, to grant, sell, convey, assign,
surrender and yield up, mortgage, demise, reassign, transfer, or otherwise dispose of any lands, buildings, messuages,
and tenements, mortgages, debentures, stock, funds, and securities, goods and chattels, that may be vested in the said
corporation, upon such terms as to the said corporation may seem fit:

Provided that due notice of appointment as Procurator in Hong Kong, and of the proof thereof having been
placed in the hands of the Chief Executive, shall be given in the Gazette.

Section: 3 Use of seal of corporation 30/06/1997


All deeds and other instruments requiring the seal of the said corporation shall be sealed in the presence of the
said Procurator or his attorney duly authorized, and shall also
be signed by him.

Cap 1018 - DOMINICAN MISSIONS ORDINANCE 2

Nothing in this Ordinance shall affect or be deemed to affect the rights of the Central Authorities or the
Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region under the Basic Law and other laws, or the rights of
any body politic or corporate or of any other persons except such as are mentioned in this Ordinance and those
claiming by, from or under them.
