5 of 1972 An Act to validate certain awards of titles purported to have
been made under the Land Registry Act.

Short title.
Validation of
certain awards.
c. 5:02
1. This Act may be cited as the Land Registry
(Validation of Awards) Act.
2. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary
contained in the Land Registry Act, all awards of title
purported to have been made thereunder by a Commissioner
of Title in respect of the lands situated in the area described in
the Schedule of the Land Registry (Registration Area)
(Demerara River) (No. 2) (Amendment) Order* shall, with
effect from the respective dates of those awards, be deemed
for all purposes to be valid and effectual in law as though the
awards were made in compliance with the provisions of that
Act.
