in the form of an Exchange of Letters amending the Agreement between the European Economic Community and the Swiss Confederation concerning certain cheeses

A. Letter from the Community

Sir,

Referring to the consultations held between the delegations of the Commission of the European Communities and the Swiss Confederation on weight limits for Sbrinz cheese, I have the honour to confirm that the Community agrees that point 2 of the additional notes to the Agreement between the European Economic Community and the Swiss Confederation on certain cheeses should be replaced by the following:

'2. Standard whole cheeses are whole cheeses having the following net weights: Emmental: from 60 to 130 kilograms inclusive; Gruyère: from 20 to 45 kilograms inclusive; Sbrinz: from 20 to 50 kilograms inclusive; Appenzell: from 6 to 8 kilograms inclusive.'

I should be obliged if you would confirm that your Government is in agreement with the foregoing.

I have the honour to acknowledge receipt of your letter of today's date, which reads as follows:

'Referring to the consultations held between the delegations of the Commission of the European Communities and the Swiss Confederation on weight limits for Sbrinz cheese, I have the honour to confirm that the Community agrees that point 2 of the additional notes to the Agreement between the European Economic Community and the Swiss Confederation on certain cheeses should be replaced by the following:
