Decree of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of 24 June 1986 on the Agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Syrian Arab Republic on cooperation in the field of state and local governments On September 11, 1985, in Damascus signed the Agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Syrian Arab Republic Cooperation in the field of state and local governments. The agreement entered into force by virtue of Article 9 on 7 April 1986. The Czech version of the Agreement shall be open simultaneously. Minister: Ing. Chňoupek vr Agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Syrian Arab Republic on cooperation in the field of state and local governments Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Syrian Arab Republic, guided by common interests and in order to strengthen world peace, friendship and understanding between peoples and desiring to strengthen friendly relations and further deepen mutual cooperation, have agreed as follows: Article 1. The Contracting Parties shall expand and deepen cooperation in the field of state and local governments. For this purpose, the competent authorities of the two States will exchange and send written materials, publications, knowledge and experience in the following areas: a) management and structure of state and local government, b) the development of services for the population in urban and rural areas, c) the development and environmental protection, d) organization and providing fire protection. Article 2. The Parties will form mutual visits of professionals competent authorities of both countries to promote bilateral exchange of experiences, consultation and study methods work in areas referred to in Article 1. Article 3 The Parties shall seek mutual acquaintance with their public achievements Nations Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Syrian Arab Republic, achieved in the areas forming the subject matter of this Agreement. Article 4 The Contracting Parties shall create conditions for the establishment of twinning relations between their countries. Article 5 Parties provide under their domestic law to nationals of the other Contracting Party, who will be deployed under this Agreement, the necessary conditions to enable them to fulfill their tasks. Nationals of the sending State must comply with applicable national regulations of the receiving State. Article 6 The Contracting Parties shall, for the purposes of this Agreement to agree on some periods of implementing protocols of cooperation, which will include concerted actions, and financial conditions for their implementation. Article 7 Implementation of this agreement will provide the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Socialist Republic and the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Socialist Republic in cooperation with other competent authorities in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Ministry of Local Government of the Syrian Arab Republic. Article 8 The Parties may, by mutual consent, if necessary to supplement or amend provisions of the various articles of the Agreement. Article 9. This Agreement is subject to approval by both parties and shall enter into force on the date of the exchange of notes concerning such approval. This Agreement is entered into for an indefinite period of time. It may be terminated in writing by each of the parties; In such a case shall terminate upon the expiration of three months from the date of receipt of notice to the other Party.
