METIS SETTLEMENTS ELECTION REGULATION
1   For the purposes of ensuring that the Local Authorities Election Act can be applied to the election of councillors to a settlement council as provided for in section 13(1) of the Metis Settlements Act, the following terms in the Local Authorities Election Act are deemed to have the following meanings:                                  (a)    “council” includes a settlement council;
                                 (b)    “elected authority” includes a settlement council;
                                 (c)    “local jurisdiction” includes a settlement;
                                 (d)    “relevant Minister” means, in the case of a settlement, the member of the Executive Council charged by the Lieutenant Governor in Council with the administration of the Metis Settlements Act;
                                 (e)    “secretary” includes a settlement administrator.
