MOST GRACIOUS SOVEREIGN:
Preamble
WHEREAS it appears by a Message from Her Honour Lois E. Hole, Lieutenant Governor of the Province of Alberta, and the Supplementary Estimates accompanying the Message, that the sums hereinafter mentioned are required to defray certain charges and expenses of the Public Service of Alberta, not otherwise provided for during the fiscal year ending March 31, 2000 and for other purposes relating thereto: MAY IT THEREFORE PLEASE YOUR MAJESTY that it be enacted and be it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, as follows:
Operating expense and capital investment
1   From the General Revenue Fund, there may be paid and applied a sum of $31 103 000 towards defraying the further charges and expenses of the Public Service classed as operating expense and capital investment for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2000, not otherwise provided for, as shown in the Schedule.
Non-budgetary disbursements
2   From the General Revenue Fund, there may be paid and applied a sum of $1 470 000 towards defraying the further charges and expenses of the Public Service classed as non‑budgetary disbursements for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2000, not otherwise provided for, as shown in the Schedule.
Achievement bonus transfers
3(1)  The Minister of Human Resources and Employment may transfer an amount, not to exceed $16 600 000, from the Operating  Expense and Capital Investment vote administered by this Minister to the Operating Expense and Capital Investment vote administered by any other Minister for the purpose referenced in subsection (2).
(2)  An amount transferred under this section shall only be expended on the Achievement Bonus program, as identified and approved by the Minister of Human Resources and Employment.
(3)  An amount transferred under subsection (1) is deemed not to be included in the vote from which it is transferred; it is added to and deemed to be part of the vote to which it is transferred.
Accountability
4   The due application of all money expended under this Act shall be accounted for. Schedule
