Amending O. Reg. 420/97

(COSTS OF ONTARIO PROVINCIAL POLICE SERVICES TO MUNICIPALITIES UNDER SECTION 5.1 OF THE ACT)

1. (1) Section 2 of Ontario Regulation 420/97 is amended by adding the following subsections:

(3.1) Despite subsection (3), the determination, for the purposes of subsection (2), of the number of households in the Township of Pickle Lake and in the Municipality of Sioux Lookout shall be based on the data available from the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation for 2007 or the most recent data available from the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation, whichever results in a lower determination. 

(3.2) The determination, for the purposes of subsection (2), of the number of OPP police officers providing police services on a full-time basis in the Township of Pickle Lake and in the Municipality of Sioux Lookout shall be based on the data used by the OPP for 2007 or the most recent data used by the OPP, whichever results in a higher determination.

(2) Subsections 2 (3.1) and (3.2) of the Regulation, as made by subsection (1), are revoked.

Commencement

2. (1) Subject to subsection (2), this Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.

(2) Subsection 1 (2) comes into force on December 31, 2015.
