Amending O. Reg. 136/12

(GRANTS FOR STUDENT NEEDS — LEGISLATIVE GRANTS FOR THE 2012-2013 SCHOOL BOARD FISCAL YEAR)

1. Section 51.1 of Ontario Regulation 136/12 is revoked and the following substituted:

Amount for retrofitting school space for child care

51.1 (1) The amount for the board for the fiscal year for retrofitting school space for child care is determined as follows:

1. Determine the total number of child care spaces that have been or will be retrofitted during the time period beginning on July 10, 2012 and ending on August 31, 2015 in buildings or on real property owned, leased or otherwise acquired by the board.

2. Multiply the number set out in Column 2 of Table 25.1, opposite the name of the board, by 0.75, and round to two decimal places.

3. If the number determined under paragraph 1 is equal to or greater than the number determined under paragraph 2, the amount is the number set out in Column 3 of Table 25.1, opposite the name of the board.

4. If the number determined under paragraph 1 is less than the number determined under paragraph 2, the amount is calculated in accordance with the following formula:

A × B × 1.25

where,

“A” is the amount set out in Column 4 of Table 25.1, opposite the name of the board,

“B” is the number calculated by dividing the number determined under paragraph 1 by the number set out in Column 2 of Table 25.1, opposite the name of the board, rounded to two decimal places.

(2) The child care spaces referred to in paragraph 1 of subsection (1) are spaces that have been or will be retrofitted for the purpose of providing child care for children during a fiscal year who, on August 31 of the previous fiscal year, were younger than 44 months of age.

2. Table 25.1 of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:
