Amending O. Reg. 175/11

(PRESCRIBED TRADES AND RELATED MATTERS)

1. (1) Subsection 2 (5) of Ontario Regulation 175/11 is amended by striking out the portion before “Electrician – Construction and Maintenance” and substituting the following:

(5) For the purposes of section 91 of the Act, the following trades in the construction sector were designated as compulsory trades before section 61 of the Act came into force, and each trade shall retain its status as a compulsory trade until it is changed by a Board regulation pursuant to section 61 of the Act:

(2) Subsection 2 (6) of the Regulation is amended by striking out the portion before “Architectural Glass and Metal Technician” and substituting the following:

(6) For the purposes of section 91 of the Act, the following trades in the construction sector were designated as voluntary trades before section 61 of the Act came into force, and each trade shall retain its status as a voluntary trade until it is changed by a Board regulation pursuant to section 61 of the Act:

2. Subsection 3 (2) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

(2) For the purposes of section 91 of the Act, the trades in the industrial sector listed in subsection (1) were designated as voluntary trades before section 61 of the Act came into force, and each trade shall retain its status as a voluntary trade until it is changed by a Board regulation pursuant to section 61 of the Act.

3. (1) Subsection 4 (2) of the Regulation is amended by striking out the portion before “Alignment and Brakes Technician” and substituting the following:

(2) For the purposes of section 91 of the Act, the following trades in the motive power sector were designated as compulsory trades before section 61 of the Act came into force, and each trade shall retain its status as a compulsory trade until it is changed by a Board regulation pursuant to section 61 of the Act:

(2) Subsection 4 (3) of the Regulation is amended by striking out the portion before “Agricultural Equipment Technician” and substituting the following:

(3) For the purposes of section 91 of the Act, the following trades in the motive power sector were designated as voluntary trades before section 61 of the Act came into force, and each trade shall retain its status as a voluntary trade until it is changed by a Board regulation pursuant to section 61 of the Act:

4. Subsections 5 (2) and (3) of the Regulation are revoked and the following substituted:

(2) For the purposes of section 91 of the Act, the trade of hairstylist in the service sector was designated as a compulsory trade before section 61 of the Act came into force, and the trade shall retain its status as a compulsory trade until it is changed by a Board regulation pursuant to section 61 of the Act.

(3) Subject to subsection (2), for the purposes of section 91 of the Act, the trades in the service sector listed in subsection (1) were designated as voluntary trades before section 61 of the Act came into force, and each trade shall retain its status as a voluntary trade until it is changed by a Board regulation pursuant to section 61 of the Act.

5. Section 6 of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

Prescribed trades, review panel decision

6. Ontario Regulation 20/15 (Compulsory and Voluntary Trades) made under the Act sets out the trades that have been prescribed by the Board, pursuant to section 61 of the Act, as compulsory trades or voluntary trades following a review panel decision.

Commencement

6. This Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
