Amending O. Reg. 76/14

(GRANTS FOR STUDENT NEEDS - LEGISLATIVE GRANTS FOR THE 2014-2015 SCHOOL BOARD FISCAL YEAR)

1. Subsection 3 (10) of Ontario Regulation 76/14 is amended by striking out “revised March 2014” and substituting “revised April 2015”.

2. Paragraphs 1 and 2 of subsection 15 (2) of the Regulation are amended by striking out “under section 257.11” wherever it appears and substituting in each case “under subsection 257.11 (14) or (15)”.

3. The definition of “School Foundation Allocation Table” in subsection 17 (2) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “revised March 2014” and substituting “revised April 2015”.

4. Paragraph 3 of section 18 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “under section 21” at the end and substituting “under subsection 21 (1)”.

5. Section 21 of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

High needs amount

21. (1) The high needs amount for a board is determined as follows:

1. Multiply the 2014-2015 day school average daily enrolment of pupils of the board by the product of 0.75 and the amount set out in Column 2 of Table 1 opposite the name of the board.

2. Add the amount determined under paragraph 1 to the projected measures of variability amount set out in Column 3 of Table 1 opposite the name of the board.

3. Add the amount determined under paragraph 2 to the projected special education statistical prediction model amount set out in Column 4 of Table 1 opposite the name of the board.

4. Add the amount determined under paragraph 3 to the high needs base amount for collaboration and integration, $450,000.

(2) For the 2014-2015 fiscal year, the total provincial funding for all 72 boards for the high needs amount is $1,050,000.

6. (1) Paragraph 2 of subsection 36 (3) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “paragraph 22” and substituting “paragraph 25”.

(2) Paragraph 3 of subsection 36 (5) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “paragraph 22” and substituting “paragraph 25”.

7. (1) Paragraph 1 of section 56 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “under paragraph 3” and substituting “under paragraph 3.1”.

(2) Paragraph 3.1 of section 56 of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

3.1 Add the amount determined under paragraph 3 to the amount or, if there is more than one amount for a board, the total of the amounts, set out in Column 4 of Table 25.2 opposite the name of the board.

8. (1) Paragraph 1 of section 57 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “under paragraph 3” and substituting “under paragraph 3.1”.

(2) Paragraph 3.1 of section 57 of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

3.1 Add the amount determined under paragraph 3 to the amount or, if there is more than one amount for a board, the total of the amounts, set out in Column 4 of Table 25.3 opposite the name of the board.

9. Paragraph 9 of subsection 58 (1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “under paragraph 16” at the end and substituting “under paragraph 21”.

10. Subsections 64 (4) and (5) of the Regulation are amended by striking out “under section 257.11” wherever it appears and substituting “under subsection 257.11 (14) or (15)” in each case.

11. Tables 25.2 and 25.3 of the Regulation are revoked and the following substituted:
