(a) to revoke the Industrial Milk and Cream Stabilization 1982 Regulations made by Order in Council P.C. 1982-1858 of 23rd June, 1982Footnote **; and

(b) to make the annexed Regulations respecting the stabilization of the price of industrial milk and industrial cream delivered for marketing during the period commencing on April 1, 1982 and ending on March 31, 1983.
Short Title

1 These Regulations may be cited as the Industrial Milk and Cream Stabilization 1982-83 Regulations.

Interpretation

2 In these Regulations,

1981-82 dairy year
1981-82 dairy year means the period commencing on August 1, 1981 and ending on July 31, 1982; (campagne laitière de 1981-82)
1982-83 dairy year
1982-83 dairy year means the period commencing on August 1, 1982 and ending on July 31, 1983; (campagne laitière de 1982-83)
producer
producer means a person residing in Canada and producing industrial milk or industrial cream. (producteur)

Prescribed Price

3 The prescribed price for industrial milk and industrial cream for the period commencing on April 1, 1982 and ending on March 31, 1983 shall be the aggregate of

(a) 124.9 per cent of the base price thereof; and
(b) the index applicable thereto calculated in the manner set out in the Production Cost Index Regulations.

Payment to Producers

4 The Board may pay $291,200,000 to the Canadian Dairy Commission for the benefit of producers for the purpose of stabilizing the price of industrial milk and industrial cream at the prescribed price for industrial milk and industrial cream delivered for marketing during the 12-month period consisting of that portion of the 1981-82 dairy year commencing on April 1, 1982 and ending on July 31, 1982 and that portion of the 1982-83 dairy year commencing on August 1, 1982 and ending on March 31, 1983.
