Regulations Respecting the Stabilization of the Price of Industrial Milk and Industrial Cream Delivered for Marketing During the Period April 1, 1980 to March 31, 1981
P.C. 1980-1212 1980-05-08His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture, pursuant to sections 2, 8.2Footnote *, 10 and 11Footnote * of the Agricultural Stabilization Act, is pleased hereby to make the annexed Regulations respecting the stabilization of the price of industrial milk and industrial cream delivered for marketing during the period April 1, 1980 to March 31, 1981.

1 These Regulations may be cited as the Industrial Milk and Cream Stabilization 1980-81 Regulations.

Interpretation

2 In these Regulations,

1979-80 dairy year
1979-80 dairy year means the period commencing on August 1, 1979 and ending on July 31, 1980; (campagne laitière de 1979-80)
1980-81 dairy year
1980-81 dairy year means the period commencing on August 1, 1980 and ending on July 31, 1981; (campagne laitière de 1980-81)
producer
producer means a person residing in Canada and producing industrial milk or industrial cream. (producteur)

Prescribed Price

3 The prescribed price for industrial milk and industrial cream for the period commencing on April 1, 1980 and ending on March 31, 1981 shall be the aggregate of

(a) one hundred and thirty-three and one half per cent of the base price thereof; and
(b) the index applicable thereto calculated in the manner set out in the Production Cost Index Regulations.

Payment to Producers

4 The Board may pay three hundred and four million, seven hundred and ten thousand dollars to the Canadian Dairy Commission for the benefit of producers for the purpose of stabilizing the price of industrial milk and industrial cream at the prescribed price for industrial milk and industrial cream marketed during the twelve-month period consisting of

(a) that portion of the 1979-80 dairy year commencing on April 1, 1980 and ending on July 31, 1980; and
(b) that portion of the 1980-81 dairy year commencing on August 1, 1980 and ending on March 31, 1981.
