Regulations Respecting the Stabilization of the Price of Hogs Marketed in 1983-84
P.C. 1984-2968 1984-08-31Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture and the Treasury Board, pursuant to sections 8.2 and 11 of the Agricultural Stabilization ActFootnote *, is pleased hereby to make the annexed Regulations respecting the stabilization of the price of hogs marketed in 1983-84.

1 These Regulations may be cited as the Hog Stabilization Regulations, 1983-84.

Interpretation

2 In these Regulations, year means the period beginning April 1, 1983 and ending March 31, 1984.

Prescribed Percentage

3 For the purpose of determining the prescribed price of hogs in the year, the percentage of the base price of hogs for the year is hereby prescribed to be 95 per cent.

Prescribed Price

4 The prescribed price of hogs in the year shall be the amount obtained by adjusting 95 per cent of the base price of hogs for the year by the index applicable thereto, calculated in the manner set out in the Production Cost Index Regulations.
