Order Authorizing a Certain Employee of the Government of Canada to Acquire an Interest in Territorial Lands in the Northwest Territories
P.C. 1996-260 1996-02-26His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, pursuant to paragraph 29(1)(a) of the Territorial Lands Act, is pleased hereby to make the annexed Order authorizing a certain employee of the Government of Canada to acquire an interest in territorial lands in the Northwest Territories.Short Title

1 This Order may be cited as the Government Employees Land Acquisition Order, 1996, No. 1.

Authorization

2 The employee of the Government of Canada named in the schedule is hereby authorized to acquire an interest in territorial lands in the Northwest Territories as described in the schedule.

SCHEDULE
The acquisition of an indirect or equitable interest in territorial lands by Patricia Jane Knutson of the city of Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories, an employee of the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, by virtue of an assignment of lease from the current lessee to Dana Benjamin Knutson, the employee’s spouse, covering the whole of Lot numbered 1012 in Quad numbered 85 I/12 in the Northwest Territories, as said lot is shown on a plan of survey of recorded number 65767 in the Canada Lands Surveys Records at Ottawa, a copy of which is filed in the Land Titles Office for the Northwest Territories Land Registration District at Yellowknife under number 1316, saving and excepting therefrom and reserving thereout all mines and minerals, including hydrocarbons, whether solid, liquid or gaseous and the right to work them.
