Designating the Civil Aviation Tribunal as a Department; the Minister of Transport as Appropriate Minister for Purposes of the Financial Administration Act and as Minister for Purposes of Section 31 of the Aeronautics Act
P.C. 1986-1068 1986-05-01Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, is pleased hereby

(a) pursuant to paragraph (b) of the definition of department in section 2 of the Financial Administration Act, to designate the Civil Aviation Tribunal as a department for the purposes of that Act;
(b) pursuant to paragraph (b) of the definition of appropriate Minister in section 2 of the Financial Administration Act, to designate the Minister of Transport as the appropriate Minister with respect to the Civil Aviation Tribunal for the purposes of that Act; and

(c) pursuant to section 31Footnote * of the Aeronautics Act, to designate the Minister of Transport, a member of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada, as the Minister for the purposes of that section.
