Declaring the United States to be a Reciprocating Country for Purposes of the Act
P.C. 1975-896 1975-04-24Whereas the Governor General in Council is of opinion that satisfactory arrangements exist in the United States of America for compensation for injury or damage resulting from the production, processing, carriage, storage, use or disposition of nuclear material in that country, including any such injury or damage occasioned in Canada.
Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Energy, Mines and Resources, pursuant to subsection 34(2) of the Nuclear Liability Act, is pleased hereby to declare the United States of America to be a reciprocating country for purposes of that Act.
