Regulations Respecting the Stabilization of the Price of Corn for the 1987 Period
P.C. 1989-317  1989-03-02Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture and the Treasury Board, pursuant to sections 10Footnote *, 12Footnote ** and 14 of the Agricultural Stabilization Act, is pleased hereby to make the annexed Regulations respecting the stabilization of the price of corn for the 1987 period.

Short Title

1 These Regulations may be cited as the Corn 1987 Period Stabilization Regulations.

Interpretation

2 In these Regulations,

Act
Act means the Agricultural Stabilization Act; (Loi)
period
period means the period beginning on October 1 of any year and ending on September 30 of the following year. (période)

Prescribed Percentage

3 For the purpose of determining the prescribed price of corn for the 1987 period, the percentage of the base price of corn is hereby prescribed to be 100 per cent.

Payment

4 Payments pursuant to section 12(1)(c) of the Act shall be made by the Board directly to producers or to a producer, government or organization of a province, for the benefit of producers in that province, as the Board may determine.
