P.C. 1984-1654 1984-05-17Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture, pursuant to sections 2, 8.2, 9 and 11 of the Agricultural Stabilization ActFootnote *, is pleased hereby to make the annexed Regulations respecting the stabilization of the price of cheese marketed during the period beginning on August 1, 1984 and ending on July 31, 1985.

1 These Regulations may be cited as the Cheese Stabilization Regulations, 1984-85.


2 In these Regulations,

Act means the Agricultural Stabilization Act; (Loi)
cheese does not include imitation cheese. (fromage)

Designated Commodity

3 Cheese is hereby designated as an agricultural commodity for the purposes of the Act.

Prescribed Price

4 The prescribed price of cheese for the period beginning on August 1, 1984 and ending on July 31, 1985 is the amount obtained by adjusting 50 per cent of the base price thereof by the index applicable thereto calculated in the manner set out in the Production Cost Index Regulations.
