Regulations Respecting the Stabilization of the Price of Cheese Marketed During the Period August 1, 1979 to July 31, 1980
P.C. 1980-203 1980-01-18His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture, pursuant to subsection 2(1) and sections 8.2 and 11 of the Agricultural Stabilization Act, is pleased hereby to make the annexed Regulations respecting the stabilization of the price of cheese marketed during the period August 1, 1979 to July 31, 1980.Short Title

1 These Regulations may be cited as the Cheese Stabilization Regulations, 1979-80.

Interpretation

2 In these Regulations,

Act
Act means the Agricultural Stabilization Act; (Loi)
cheese
cheese means cheese of all types except imitation cheese. (fromage)

Designated Commodity

3 Cheese is hereby designated as an agricultural commodity for the purposes of the Act.

Prescribed Price

4 The prescribed price of cheese for the period August 1, 1979 to July 31, 1980 shall be the aggregate of

(a) 50 per cent of the base price thereof; and
(b) the index applicable thereto calculated in the manner set out in the Production Cost Index Regulations.
