Regulations Respecting the Stabilization of the Price of Canola Marketed in the Crop Year 1986
P.C. 1988-1458  1988-07-21Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture and the Treasury Board, pursuant to sections 2Footnote *, 8.2Footnote **, 10Footnote *** and 11Footnote **** of the Agricultural Stabilization Act, is pleased hereby to make the annexed Regulations respecting the stabilization of the price of canola marketed in the crop year 1986.

Short Title

1 These Regulations may be cited as the Canola Stabilization Regulations, 1986.

Interpretation

2 In these Regulations,

Act
Act means the Agricultural Stabilization Act; (Loi)
canola
canola means canola grown in Canada, in calendar year 1986, outside the designated Canadian Wheat Board Area and sold by a producer in the crop year; (colza)
crop year
crop year means the period between July 1 and June 30; (année-récolte)

Designated Commodity

3 Canola is hereby designated as an agricultural commodity for the purposes of the Act.

Prescribed Percentage

4 For the purposes of determining the prescribed price of canola for the crop year 1986, the percentage of the base price of canola for the crop year 1986 is hereby prescribed to be 90 per cent.
