Order Respecting the Remission of Customs Duties on Billiard Cloth for the Manufacture or Repair of Billiard Tables
P.C. 1996-496 1996-04-16His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance, pursuant to section 101 of the Customs TariffFootnote *, is pleased hereby to make the annexed Order respecting the remission of customs duties on billiard cloth for the manufacture or repair of billiard tables.

1 This Order may be cited as the Billiard Cloth Remission Order, 1996.

Remission

2 Subject to section 3, remission is hereby granted of the customs duties paid or payable under Schedule I to the Customs Tariff on billiard cloth, of tariff item Nos. 5111.19.00 or 5112.19.10, for the manufacture or repair of billiard tables.

Conditions

3 The remission is granted pursuant to section 2 on the condition that:

(a) the billiard cloth is imported into Canada during the period commencing on July 1, 1995 and ending on December 31, 1997; and
(b) a claim for remission is made to the Minister of National Revenue within three years of the date of importation of the goods for which remission is claimed.
