Amending Reg. 552 of R.R.O. 1990

(General)

1. The definition of “schedule of benefits” in subsection 1 (1) of Regulation 552 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 is amended by adding the following paragraph:

14. Amendments dated July 1, 2010;

2. (1) Subsection 37.1 (3) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

(3) A laboratory service set out in the schedule of laboratory benefits and rendered by a physician is an insured service.

(2) Subsection 37.1 (4) of the Regulation is revoked.

(3) Subsection 37.1 (5) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

(5) The basic fee payable for a laboratory service set out in the schedule of laboratory benefits and rendered by a physician is nil.

(4) Subsection 37.1 (6) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “the fee payable for an insured service set out in the schedule of laboratory benefits is nil” and substituting “the fee payable for an insured service rendered by a physician in a public hospital in relation to a service set out in the schedule of laboratory benefits is nil”.

(5) Subsections 37.1 (9) to (11) of the Regulation are revoked.

3. This Regulation comes into force on July 1, 2010.
